Definition:

• Percentage of non-health facility based deliveries (Dukun Bersalin) refers to proportion of childbirth events that take place outside of a hospital or clinic setting, attended by a traditional birth attendant (TBA) known as Dukun Bersalin.
• __Dukun Bersalin_ are lay midwives who play a central role in childbirth practices, particularly in rural areas of Indonesia. While some dukuns may have received some traditional training or passed down knowledge through generations, they generally lack formal medical education and access to medical equipment.
