Definition:

  • Percentage of births attended by skilled birth attendants is proportion of live births attended by a qualified healthcare professionals, such as a midwife, doctor, or nurse, who has the education and training to handle normal deliveries, identify complications, and provide care for both mother and newborn during childbirth and the immediate postpartum period.
