Parity indices, (female/male) higher education OOS (university) [Draft]

Definition:

  • Parity indices, (female/male) upper secondary OOS refers to a ratio to measure how close girls and boys are in terms of attending upper secondary school.
  • A parity index of exactly 100 indicates there's no difference between the out-of-school rates for girls and boys - perfect parity.
  • A parity index of less than 100 means there are more females who are not enrolled in universities compared to males.
  • A parity index of greater than 100 means there are more males who are not enrolled in universities compared to females.
