Definition:

  • The number of hospitals and puskesmas refers to the quantity of medical facilities within a specific location, like a city, province, or country. Hospital is a healthcare institution providing inpatient care for patients who need to stay overnight. Hospitals are typically equipped to handle a wider range of medical conditions and have advanced diagnostic and treatment facilities, including surgical suites, intensive care units (ICUs), and emergency departments. While Puskesmas (Indonesian Community Health Center) is a primary healthcare facility in Indonesia. Puskesmas function as the first point of contact for people in a community seeking medical attention. They offer preventive and promotive healthcare services such as vaccinations, checkups, maternal health care, and dental care. Puskesmas may also provide basic curative care for minor illnesses and injuries.
