Adequate Fruit and Vegetable intake (≥ 10 years old)

Definition:

  • Adequate fruit and vegetable intake for people 10 years old and older refers to the daily recommended amount to get the vitamins, minerals, and fiber needed for good health.
  • For children over 10 years old, about 1 to 1.5 cups of fruit per day and 1.5 to 2 cups of vegetables per day.
  • For most adults, at least 1.5 to 2 cups of fruit per day and 2 to 3 cups of vegetables per day.
