Number of children living below international poverty line of US$1.9 (PPP) per day

Definition:

  • The number of children living below the international poverty line of US$1.9 (PPP) per day refers to the total number of children in Indonesia living in households where consumption per person falls below US$1.9 per day. This poverty line is defined in terms of Purchasing Power Parity (PPP), which means it takes into account the different prices of goods and services across countries. So, $1.90 would buy roughly the same amount of essential items (like food, shelter, clothing) in any country.
